IPTV Setup Guide for Every Device

Find your hardware below and follow the steps. Most Australians are watching inside five minutes of receiving their login — and if you would rather not, our team will walk you through it on WhatsApp at no cost.

Before You Begin

Three Things to Have Ready

Have these on hand and the whole process takes minutes.

Your welcome message

Sent by email and WhatsApp the moment your subscription or trial is activated. It contains your username, password, server URL and M3U link.

A stable connection

At least 15 Mbps for Full HD, 25 Mbps for 4K. Ethernet is always better than Wi-Fi for a living-room TV.

Ten minutes and a remote

That is genuinely all. There is no hardware to buy, nothing to open up, and no technician visit to schedule.

Device Guides

Step-by-Step Setup Instructions

Written for Australian devices and Australian networks. Screens may differ slightly between firmware versions.

Setup time: 4 minutes

Amazon Firestick & Fire TV

  1. On your Firestick home screen, open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and switch on Apps from Unknown Sources.
  2. Return home, search for the Downloader app and install it.
  3. Open Downloader and enter the install code we send with your subscription email, then select Go.
  4. Install the player app when prompted, then open it and enter the username, password and server URL from your welcome message.
  5. Wait 30–60 seconds for the channel list and EPG to load. Press the menu button to sort your favourites.
Setup time: 5 minutes

Samsung & LG Smart TV

  1. Open the app store on your TV — Samsung Apps on Tizen, LG Content Store on webOS.
  2. Search for a supported IPTV player (we recommend the one named in your welcome email) and install it.
  3. Launch the app and note the device MAC address shown on screen.
  4. Send that MAC address to our support team on WhatsApp. We register it and load your playlist remotely — you do not need to type anything.
  5. Restart the app. Your full channel list, categories and TV guide appear automatically.
Setup time: 3 minutes

Android TV Box & NVIDIA Shield

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your box and install a supported IPTV player.
  2. Open the app and choose Add user or Add playlist, depending on the player.
  3. Enter the server URL, username and password from your welcome message exactly as written — they are case sensitive.
  4. Select Add, then allow up to a minute for the channel list to sync.
  5. Set the stream format to HLS and hardware decoding to Auto for the smoothest playback on Australian connections.
Setup time: 4 minutes

iPhone, iPad & Apple TV

  1. Open the App Store and install a supported IPTV player (several are free; our welcome email names the current best pick).
  2. Launch it and select Add playlist → Xtream Codes API.
  3. Enter any name you like, then paste in the server URL, username and password we sent you.
  4. Tap Save. The app downloads the channel list and EPG in about 30 seconds.
  5. On Apple TV, enable Auto-play last channel if you want it to behave like a traditional set-top box.
Setup time: 3 minutes

Windows PC & Mac

  1. Install VLC Media Player or a dedicated desktop IPTV player.
  2. Open Media → Open Network Stream in VLC.
  3. Paste the M3U playlist link from your welcome email and press Play.
  4. The full channel list opens in the VLC playlist pane. Use View → Playlist to browse categories.
  5. For a proper TV-guide interface on desktop, ask support for our recommended free desktop player instead.
Setup time: 6 minutes

MAG Box & Enigma2

  1. On a MAG box, go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
  2. Enter a portal name and the portal URL we provide, then save and reboot the box.
  3. Send us the MAC address printed on the base of the unit so we can authorise it.
  4. On Enigma2 receivers, upload the OSCam or IPTV bouquet file we email you via FTP to /etc/enigma2.
  5. Restart Enigma2 (or the whole receiver) and your bouquets appear in the channel list.

Using a device that is not listed? Message support — if it streams video, we have almost certainly set one up before.

Troubleshooting

Fix 90% of Problems in Under Two Minutes

Buffering or freezing

Switch from Wi-Fi to ethernet, then restart the router. If it persists at peak hour only, ask us to move you to the Melbourne or Singapore node.

“Invalid credentials”

Almost always a typo — the username and password are case sensitive, and a trailing space copied from an email will break it. Retype rather than paste.

No TV guide showing

Set the app time zone to your state, then force-close and reopen. The EPG can take up to 60 minutes to fully populate the first time.

Channel list is empty

Your app is pointed at the wrong server URL, or the playlist has not finished syncing. Wait two minutes, then re-check the URL character by character.

Audio but no picture

Change the decoding mode in the app from hardware to software (or the reverse). Older Smart TVs sometimes cannot decode a particular codec in hardware.

Works on phone, not on TV

That points at the TV’s network rather than your subscription. Test the TV’s own speed, then try ethernet or move the router closer.

Setup Questions

Installation FAQs from Australian Subscribers

It is not required for the service to function. Some Australian ISPs shape or throttle high-bandwidth video traffic at peak times, and a VPN can help in those specific cases. If you experience slowdowns only between 7pm and 10pm, ask our support team and we will help you work out whether shaping is the cause before you pay for anything extra.
Yes, free of charge. Our team can walk you through installation step by step on WhatsApp, including voice notes and screenshots, or guide you through a remote session on a PC. Twelve-month subscribers get free guided setup on up to two devices.
In order: connect the device by ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi; restart your router; change the app stream format to HLS; then ask us to move your line to a different server node. Roughly 80 percent of buffering reports we receive are solved by the first two steps.
Only if your plan includes more than one connection. Installing the app on multiple devices is fine and unlimited — the restriction is on simultaneous playback. Choosing the 2 Screens option on any plan allows two streams at the same time.
The EPG is the on-screen TV guide. It can take up to an hour to populate the first time and needs the correct time zone set in the app. Set your app time zone to Australia/Sydney, Australia/Brisbane or Australia/Perth as appropriate, then restart the app.
No. Install the app on the new device and sign in with the same credentials. If your new device authenticates by MAC address, such as a Smart TV or MAG box, send us the new address and we will re-register it within minutes at no cost.
