Answers, Not Sales Pitches
IPTV Frequently Asked Questions
Twenty plain answers to what Australians search for before subscribing — including the questions most providers would rather not put in writing.
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television. Instead of receiving television through a satellite dish, cable or antenna, the channels are delivered to you as data over your existing internet connection. It is the same underlying technology that Kayo, Binge, Stan and Netflix use — the difference is that an IPTV subscription bundles thousands of live channels and a very large on-demand library into a single app and a single price.
Streaming technology itself is entirely legal in Australia, and IPTV is used by mainstream broadcasters every day. What matters legally is whether the specific content being delivered is properly licensed for Australian distribution. AU IPTV Pro is a reseller: we do not host, broadcast or transmit any signal ourselves, and we do not control what upstream providers carry. Subscribers are responsible for ensuring their own use complies with the Copyright Act 1968 and any other applicable law. If you are unsure about a particular channel, we recommend seeking your own legal advice.
Roughly 0.7 GB per hour for SD, 1.5 GB per hour for HD, 3 GB per hour for Full HD and about 7 GB per hour for 4K. A household watching four hours of Full HD a night uses around 360 GB a month. Almost all Australian NBN plans sold today are unlimited, so this is rarely a concern, but it is worth checking if you are on a mobile broadband or Starlink plan with a data cap.
15 Mbps is the practical minimum for Full HD, 25 Mbps per stream for 4K. NBN 50 comfortably runs two 4K streams; NBN 100 runs four. Fixed-wireless and satellite customers can still get an excellent picture — we simply point your line at our FHD stream group, which uses about 40 percent less bandwidth.

Install the app on as many devices as you like. The limit is on simultaneous streams: every plan comes as either 1 Screen or 2 Screens. If two people want to watch different things at the same time, pick the 2 Screens option. Venues needing more can ask us for a quote.

We keep only the minimal operational data needed to run the service and prevent credential sharing — connection times and stream counts. We do not build viewing profiles, we do not sell data, and we do not share information with advertisers. See our privacy policy.
Report it on WhatsApp and our engineers will usually have it restored within a few hours. Upstream feeds occasionally go down; the difference between a good and a bad provider is how quickly it comes back, and we monitor the full list around the clock.
